According to Mau, the four monuments arranged in a group, with the arched monument at the centre, were for the imperial family.

According to Mau, these four monuments were for the imperial family.

The arched monument was probably the pedestal for a colossal statue of Augustus.

The wide statue base on the right was for a colossal equestrian statue of Claudius.

The wide base on the left was for a colossal standing statue of Agrippina.

The smaller base (the nearest in this photograph) was for the smaller equestrian statue of Nero.

None of these statues survive.
