According to CTP, during the excavations in the 1950’s, the doorways on the north side indicated four entrances.

All later plans, Eschebach, Jashemski, etc., show four entrances on the north side, and the fifth on the south side.

During 1972, Mrs Jashemski cleared the north-west side of the insula and found only three entrances.
