VII.12.16 Pompeii. September 2005. Looking south to entrance doorway.

According to Della Corte, found to the right of the doorway were the words –

Scribit Paris, idem rogat    [CIL IV 821]

He thought the entrance doorway led to steps to a hospitium on the upper floor, and that the host was named Paris.
