According to Boyce, a burning altar was painted on the wall on each side of the niche, with a yellow serpent  gliding towards it between plants and flowers.   See Boyce G. K., 1937. According to Jashemski,  there was a large animal painting, only partially preserved upon excavation, on the west wall.
