The room numbers on this page follow the room numbers used in Zevi, F., 1964. La Casa Reg IX.5.18-21 a Pompei e le sue pitture: Studi Miscellanei 5. Roma: Bretschneider.  This provides direct reference back to the book. 

 

IX.5.18 Pompeii. March 2009. Room a, entrance doorway with east wall of fauces. According to Cooley, found beside the doorway was the graffito CIL IV 5112.  She translates it as –
Learn: while I am alive, you, hateful death, are coming.
