According to Garcia y Garcia, on 18th September 1943 a bomb smashed the poor remains of the shops at HGE22, 23, 24 and the colonnade outside them.

The damage was not recorded in the official report, but can be seen in a photo (fig.398 -Foto SAP neg 57-A)
